Myron Lester Ballard
August 10, 1938 ~ July 4, 2013
With disbelief and heartbreak we sadly announce the passing of Myron Lester Ballard at the age of 74.
Myron was born in Spalding, Saskatchewan on August 10, 1938. At a young age he and his family relocated to the Kootenay region of BC, where he met and married Roseanne and raised five sons. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, his dogs and maintaining his hobby farm. After raising his family he later met and married Marilyn and spent his retirement years with her by his side on the farm tending his gardens and animals. Myron lived life with no regrets and enjoyed his many friends in Crawford Bay.
Myron was predeceased by his parents Floyd and Magdalena; wife Roseanne; sons Jody and Tim; brothers Gary, Ken, Loyal, and daughter-in-law Charmaine.
Left to mourn are his wife Marilyn; children Kelly (Julie), Dennis (Ann), and Darcy; stepchildren Sharon (Rick), Cindy, Richard (Crystal), Shannon, Terry (Jeff), and Kevin; grandchildren Wanda (Dave), April (Scott), Tiffany, Bryce, Jacqueline, Shane, Shivon, Amber, Tony, Dallas, Logan, Jackson, Kevin, Chelsea, Jennifer, Heather, and Paige; great-grandchildren Bo, Jodi, Kahleah, Lily, and Draydon. Also left to mourn is his sister Phylis Scholz, numerous extended family and friends and his beloved dogs Sally and Buster.
A Celebration of Myron’s Life will be held Saturday August 10, 2013 at “the Farm” in Crawford Bay, BC starting at 3 p.m.
