MaryNell (Lindley, Young) Pawelko born in Tisdale Sask. On January 21, 1942.
MaryNell was 1 ½ years old when her Father and her moved to Trail, B.C. She was adopted by Earl and Mabel Young at age 8.
After her first marriage they moved to Ottawa where she raised her 4 children. She was a founding member of a thrift store known as the Hub, Located in Almont, Ontario.
She then returned to Creston BC, in 2001. She worked at Sutcliffe's asparagus farm. She also belonged to the GoGo Granny's and volunteered at the Tuck Shop. While working at the asparagus farm, she met Nicole Greffard.
Nicole had mentioned to her that she should meet her uncle. So, on Dec 24, 2011 MaryNell met John Pawelko. After a short relationship they married on Sept 24, 2012. At their age they didn't think they would make 25 years, so they celebrated the 24th of every month.
MaryNell became active at the Creston valley Seniors hall. For all the different seasons at the pancake breakfast she always had very interesting decorations on the tables. She had a passion to decorate the hall. She also enjoyed working with all the other members and called Bingo.
MaryNell really enjoyed her house plants, her granddaughter Sarah would say "Grandma you live in a jungle". She also loved all of her tiggers, she had them in the house, RV and in her car. Sarah named her car the tigger mobile.
MaryNell and John, travelled to the USA along with numerous places in BC. Alberta, Saskatchewan and even across Canada to Ontario in their RV. MaryNell enjoyed the outdoors, in her younger years love skiing, camping and fishing. Along with having a passion for travel and being active in her community.
MaryNell was diagnosed with cancer and that is what took her life too soon, on September 14th 2020.
MaryNell is survived by her husband John Pawelko, And her children. Raymond and wife Netti, grandchildren William and Jeremy. Eric and wife Loing, grandchildren Justin and Rylan. Linda and her partner Sharon. Arndt and wife Oahn , grandchildren Kimberly and Daniel. Step Children, Brent, grandchildren Wyatt, Sarah and Jaelyn. Tanya, grandchildren Dakota, Nathaniel and Dominik. Great grandchildren, Kai and Hannah.
Also, her half-sister Raye and Husband Donny. Adopted brother Bobby and wife Grace. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
MaryNell always had the upmost generous caring heart, with a constant cheerful smile. MaryNell's family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctor and Nurses in Creston Valley hospital. Along with the deepest thanks to the head of Nurses for allowing family to be by her side through the trying times.
MaryNell will be deeply missed by so many, may her memories always be present with us.
