Marjorie Fay Parke

Marjorie Fay Parke passed away on November 30, 2012 in the Creston Valley at the age of 84 years.

Marjorie was born to parents Ella Claire and Edward Klinkner on October 9, 1928 in Lea Park, AB. Marjorie married Bruce Parke in 1947 and together they moved, in 1955, near High Prairie where they farmed until they moved to Creston, BC in 1973.

Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Edward Klinkner, Ella Claire Klinker-Perks and “Pop” George Perks and sister Juanita.


Her life was dedicated to God and her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bruce Frederick Parke; children Phyllis (Tom) Fischer of Grande Prairie, AB, Bob (Violet) Parke of Pinehouse Lake, SK, Karen (Tom) Whitford of Creston, BC, Marty (Mardy) Beam of Grande Prairie, AB, Michael (fiancée Rose) Parke of Penticton, BC, and Scott of Vancouver; three sisters, Shirley (Bob) Bexson of Lloydminster, AB, Helen Forbus of Tulliby Lake, AB and Betty (Ed) Andruchow of Bruderheim, AB; brother Keven (Elaine) Klinkner of Coldstream, BC, along with nineteen grandchildren; fourty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


A Funeral Service was held on Thursday December 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Creston Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Friesen and Pastor Richard Peacock officiating.

Interment followed the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erickson, BC.
