Margaret Adline Sadek

May 6, 1931 ~ July 4, 2010

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and very dear friend to many. Margaret left us on July 4, 2010 at the age of 79 years.

She was born in Kipling, Saskatchewan on May 6, 1931 to proud parents John and Rosalia Churi.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Alex; her parents, brothers, and sisters.

She was a woman that everyone cherished, especially her six boys that called her Mom: Gene (Kathy), Irvine, Albert, Stan (Rena), George (Debbie), and Herbie (Tammy). To her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was known as Grandma or even Nana. She was also known as Sister by Isabelle.

Along her journey through life, Margaret and her husband farmed between Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia and later ended their journey in Strathmore, Alberta.

You could always find her smiling in her gardens or putting food on the table as friends and family would visit and no one left without a full belly. Margaret was one who would always put someone first before herself, even at the end. Everywhere she went there was a warm smile for all she knew. She will be sadly missed by all.

If desired, donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association 204 – 2323 32 Ave NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3.
