Mae Smyth (nee Becker) passed away on May 8, 2013 at the age of 88 years at her residence at Crest View Care Village.

Mae was born on April 13, 1925 in Gull Lake, SK to parents Fred and Violet Becker. She worked in sales at the Hudson Bay Company. Mae married Norman Bullied and they had two children, Grant Bullied and Susan Bullied. A few years after their divorce, Mae married Kenneth Smyth.

Mae was a member of the Southminister United Church, Lethbridge 702 Wing, Calgary Willow Park Baptist Church, and the Prime Timers Seniors Social Club. She also enjoyed walking, aquasize, cross country skiing, and square dancing.

Mae was predeceased by her parents Fred and Violet Becker; sister Violet Holtby; brothers Kenneth Becker, William Becker, Alec Becker, and brothers-in-law Kelly Holtby and Jim Anderson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Grant (Joan) Bullied; daughter Susan Sorenson; sisters Hazel (Dayton) Toney and Kathleen Anderson, as well as sisters-in-law Mary Becker and Pearl Becker.

A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.
