Lester John Michelson
December 21, 1954 ~ April 11, 2010
Lester John Michelson of Creston, BC passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 11, 2010 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer.
Les was born in Balcarres, Saskatchewan on December 21, 1954 to parents John and Blanche Michelson. He grew up in Blueberry Creek, BC and following graduation moved to Vancouver, BC where he pursued his CGA designation. He started his career as a CGA in Cranbrook, BC and moved to the Creston Valley in 1981 where he lived for the last 29 years.
Les was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, ATVing, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a fun loving, carefree individual, a great father, an extremely proud grandpa and a good friend to many.
Les is survived by his parents John and Blanche Michelson, daughter Laurie Bambrick (Justin), son Bradley Michelson (Melanie), grandchildren Chase, Aislin, Owen, and Kylar, siblings Charlotte Green (Casey), Jim Michelson (Maureen), Debra Spring (Kerry) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many other family and friends & special friend Linda.
The Celebration of Life Service is to be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.
Friends wishing to make a memorial tribute, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the MS Society – B.C. Division, and dropped off at his office, Michelson & Bambrick Co.
