In Loving Memory of Leila Burton ~ She passed away peacefully on August 14, 2020 in Creston BC at 79 years of age.
Leila was predeceased by her father Adolphus Burton and her mother Mary Gourlie, her siblings Richard, Paul, Nellie, and Robert, and her nephews Richard and Minor.
She is survived by her children Ryan, Julia and Dinah and son-in-law Blair, granddaughters Tamilyn and Rosalie, great grandchildren Kovin and Nevelle, nieces and nephews Wilhelm, Elouise, Sonya, Wendy, Sydney, Angela, Danielle, Guy, Rachael and Cass.
Loving memories of Leila's joyful laughter, sense of humor, caring and compassion will be in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched.
She will forever keep the unique and special bond she made with each family member, each friend she made while psych nursing, doing her healing work and helping her communities, and each of the many special friends that walked beside her throughout her life.
It is certain that she is now free, laughing and recalling her many adventures fishing and birdwatching, her love of gardening, dancing and music, her thirst for learning, how much she loved being near nature and the joy she had painting and creating using nature's elements. And especially time spent with her loved ones. Whether you be family or a friend, please know that she loved you. You made her life beautiful and full. She cherished each and every moment she had with you.
The family would like to express appreciation and thanks to her niece Wendy, dear friend Elva, and special helper Melanie for all the friendship, love and extra care they gave to her during the last years of her journey.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
