March 29, 1966 - December 28, 2024

In loving memory ~

Kimberly (Kim) Emma Ryckman, 58, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024. Born on March 29, 1966, in Stonewall, Manitoba, Kim was the daughter of the late Edna and Lloyd Trupp.

Her family moved West to Calgary in 1976, and after a few years of living in Bowness they departed the city and settled in Wyndell, British Columbia. Kim was thirteen at the time. After marrying young, Kim and her husband, Art Ryckman (divorced), raised three children to adulthood in the Creston Valley. Shortly after divorce, Kim was on the move again with her new partner, this time to Stettler, Alberta, where she was employed by the Clearwater School Division and worked providing custodial services. She spent the final years of her life back in Calgary.

Kim was a mother to three children, Cody, Karissa and Jessie for 39-years, and motherhood was the proudest accomplishment of her life. She was also a grandmother to two boys, Jack (5) and Lincoln (3), and loved spending time with them outdoors at the park and enjoying ice cream together. She is survived by her two sons, and brother, Eugene Trupp, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. Kim was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Lloyd, siblings, Conrad, Carla, and Rob, and daughter, Karissa.

Kim loved to socialize and was always seeking the next 'good time' alongside family and friends. She enjoyed horticulture and completed a post-secondary program at the Creston Campus of the College of the Rockies before spending many years employed at Morris Flowers greenhouse. She also loved playing cards, music, gardening, flowers, crafting seasonal arrangements, and thrifting, as well as spending quality time outdoors with family and friends at the cabin, Kootenay Lake, and camping. As well, she returned to Manitoba many times over her life to stay connected with her closest relatives.

Kim will be remembered for her big heart, endless energy, sense of humour, and 'more the merrier' approach to life, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
