Karen Lynn Downey

Karen Lynn Downey (née Judd) took her wings January 15, 2010 at the age of 54.
Beloved wife of Robert and constant mother to Crystal and Colleen; Karen will be dearly missed by her parents, Harold and Melba Judd; sisters Gwen, Linda, Eleanor; sister-in-law Grace; and numerous other family and friends.
Predeceased by brother Terry.
Karen and Robert were married in 1973, eventually settling in DeBolt, AB. After raising their daughters, they left DeBolt, living in Canmore, AB, and then in Creston, BC, where they resided for the past four years.
Karen will be fondly remembered for her strength, kindness, and tenacious, loving nature that touched the hearts of many. Karen can be proud of the dash between her years; we were honoured to have you in our lives.
A Memorial Service will be held in Tilston at a later date.
A Memorial Service will be held in Creston Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Her family wish to thank the wonderful staff at the Kelowna General Hospital (4B & the Cancer Agency) for all of their efforts.
