Judy Marie Harvey (Christensen)
February 26, 1958 ~ May 31, 2016
Judy Marie Harvey (Christensen), 58, beloved wife of Garret Harvey, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
Judy was born in Calgary, AB on February 26, 1958, daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Christensen.
After graduating from William Aberhart High School she went on to work as a microfilm technician for 15 years. She married the love of her life Garret Harvey on June 21, 1980 and they started their family soon after. Judy was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent much of her time caring and fussing over others. In 2007 Judy and Garret retired to the Kootenays. Judy loved life at the lake, on Kootenay time. She enjoyed gardening and traveling to warmer destinations. She loved spending time with family and she will be dearly missed.
Judy was an active member of the Boswell Community Association. She served on the board of directors and helped plan and organize many Boswell events. She loved being a part of the community and the relationships she made.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Garret Harvey, Sanca BC; her son Jeremy Harvey (Tamauda), Calgary AB; her daughter Jasmine Harvey, Calgary AB, and her granddaughter Georgina Harvey, Calgary AB.
A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1903 19th Ave NW, Calgary, AB on Thursday June 9, 2016 at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at Nick’s Steakhouse, 2430 Crowchild Trail NW.
An additional service will be held at Boswell Memorial Hall on June 18, 2016, Boswell, BC.
