August 15, 1958 - April 10, 2021
Our mom Judy Ann Jennissen passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Cranbrook Hospital at the age of 62 years. Judy was a friend to many, and will always be missed.
Judy was born on August 15, 1958 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. She was the first born daughter of William and Adella Jennissen. Judy called many places home in her lifetime, mainly Brooks, Chilliwack and for the past 9 years Creston. Judy was very active as a coach in the Special Olympics community and loved to help out whenever she could.
She worked different service industry jobs over her life, making countless friends along the way. We are warmed by the fact that Judy will get her chance to meet Elvis and Johnny Cash now, two of her all time favourites.
Judy's family is deeply saddened by her loss. She is survived by daughters Janice Reid, Melisa (Andrew) McInnis, ex husband, but dear friend Stephen Reid, grandchildren, Austin, Adella and Conor, brothers Greg (Maureen) Jennissen, Kirk (Nicole) Jennissen, and sisters Yvette (Denis) Jennissen and Tammy Jennissen, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Due to the pandemic, a memorial will be planned for a future date.
Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to BC Lupus Society 210 - 888 W 8th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 3Y1 or to Special Olympics - Creston- Ryan McEwen - Local Coordinator, 1285 Fox Tree Hill Road, Creston, BC V0B 1G2.
