August 5, 1946 - March 29, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Morris announce her passing on Sunday March 29, 2020 at the age of 73 years. Joan will be lovingly missed by her husband Robin of 53 years and her three daughters Sandy (Sean) Hardy, Karlene (Jay) Emary and Cheryl (Brian) Anderson. She was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Megan, Alison, Kaitlin, Steven, Brady, Sheldon and Samantha.
Joan was born on August 5, 1946 to Evelyn and Gerald Phillips. The eldest of nine children raised on their family dairy farm. She loved being a part of a large close-knit family and was active in 4H and the Lister community.
She met her husband Robin in 1965 and were married Easter Weekend 1967. Early years of their marriage were spent operating their dairy farm in Lister, BC. They purchased the Broaster House in 1977 which they ran for 35 years. During this time many will remember her kind heart and love for her family and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Evelyn Phillips and her sister Sharon Phillips. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, brothers Allan (Eileen) Phillips, Lloyd (Bonnie) Phillips, sisters Edna (Peter) Much, Linda Hobden, Eileen (Wayne) Adams, Lorna Folick, Marion Borgstrom and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
