Born in Kirkintilloch, Scotland on September, 9th, 1922 Jim passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2019
Jim was predeceased by his soul mate and loving wife of 67 years, Vera. He is survived by daughter, Anne Burns (Eric Linnell) and son; Graham Burns (Judy Burns), grandchildren; Melanie Bright, Thomas Burns (Amanda) and Shannon Beazley (Bruce) and five great grandsons; Cole, Owen, Connor, Karl & Sam.
Jim retired early from a career in the forest industry to help Vera fight her battle with cancer. What was supposed to be a short fight became a very long partnership of love and support. Back together they will be lending a hand and adding a smile wherever it is needed.
A celebration of life for Jim will be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at 3:30 pm at Sun Point Village, 700 Rutland Rd. Kelowna, BC.
In lieu of flowers, Jim would want you to make a donation to the Terry Fox foundation on Vera's behalf.
