Isabel was born in Calgary, November 23, 1918 to Fred and Bertha Crawshaw and passed away at Innisfail Rosefield Centre, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the age of 95.

She was raised in the Chinook and Innisfail districts and after high school attended Normal School in Camrose. At age 18 she was sent out to teach. She taught for nine years at numerous rural schools in Alberta. Isabel married Thomas Bilton in 1947 and moved to a farm in the Harmattan area where they raised 3 children. In 1956 she went back teaching and continued for another 21 years in county schools. They moved to Olds in 1970 then after retirement moved to Creston, BC where she enjoyed growing roses and many other flowers.

Tom and Isabel took several trips including Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, England and Europe. After Tom’s passing in 1980 Isabel continued to enjoy Creston, but later decided she should be closer to family. In 2002 she moved to a condo in Sunrise Village, in Olds.
