Irene Roche (nee Pelletier)
July 3, 1920 ~ April 2, 2014
Irene passed away at her West Creston residence on April 2, 2014 at the age of 93 years with family by her side.
Irene was born July 3, 1920 at Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, to Elise and Adelbert Pelletier. She received her formal education at Laurier, Manitoba.
She married Marcel Roche on July 16, 1949 at the Holy Cross Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the couple moved to the Creston Valley in 2004
Irene was a member of the Catholic Womens League and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking and reading well into her 93rd year.
She was predeceased by her husband Marcel, five sisters and one brother. Irene will be dearly missed by her brother Maurice (Anita), children Daniel (Heather), Elaine (Dave), Delbert (Petra), grandchildren Lorne (Michelle), Niqi (Marc), Derek, Brian, Darian, Larissa and great grandchildren Janelle and Emma.
The funeral mass was held on Monday April 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Creston, BC with Father Tom Kakkaniyil celebrant. Cremation followed the mass service at the Kootenay Lake Crematorium, Creston, BC with burial of ashes in the Green Acres Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at a later date.
