Irene Dora Rand (nee Dewald)
March 4, 1926 - October 17, 2017
Irene was born to Henry and Annie Dewald in Evansberg, Alberta, the first of eight children.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Rand, and daughter, Irene (Bunny) Barrett.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children Carol Topp, Marilyn Rand, Ricky Rand, Cathy Armour, and Dave (Glenna) Rand; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; her three brothers Henry, John, and Rich Dewald; and sister Helen Skoreyko.
She will always be remembered as a regal, gracious, kind, and giving person who touched the lives of many through her love of music and involvement in the church and community.
She enjoyed oil painting, crafts, and teaching and playing piano, organ, and accordion. She also loved being involved with family and friends.
She will be so very missed; Irene has left this Earth, let her music ring out in heaven.
There was a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:30 pm at the Lower Lutheran Hall, 315 15th Ave North, Creston, B.C.
There will be an Interment in Edmonton, Alberta to be announced at a later date.
