Helen Lillian Carston of Creston, BC passed away suddenly in her sleep on February 19, 2018.
Helen was born and raised in Creston, BC where she attended school and participated in many sports. She attended the University of Victoria in the late 1950's to become a teacher. She married Lorne Carston on July 21, 1962 and raised two children, Kirk and Heather. Helen's passions were her family and teaching.
Helen was a very active member of her community. She was a member of the Creston Golf Club, Executive member of the BC Teachers' Federation, and the Creston Curling Club.
Helen is predeceased by her husband, Lorne Ian Carston; mother, Lizzie Boffey (Lewis); father, Herbert Boffey; brother, Albert Boffey and sister, Doris (Murial) Boffey.
She is survived by her son, Kirk (Lori) Carston; daughter, Heather Carston; brother, Raymond (Darlene) Boffey; sister-in-law, Inez (Albert) Boffey; grandchildren, Alberta Carston, Benjamin Traas and Santiago Barroqueiro; nephews and nieces, Debby Boffey, Douglas Boffey, Kenneth Boffey, Barbara Boffey, Donna Boffey, Greg (Mary Ann) Boffey, Larry (Marcia) Boffey and Daniel (Deborah) Boffey.
A service to be at the G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel later in the spring.
