Emma Edey
December 7, 1914 ~ August 17, 2015
Emma Edey, a resident of Crest View Village, passed away on August 17, 2015 at the age of 100 years.
Emma was born in Frontier, SK, where she attended high school. She graduated from bible school in 1939. Emma got her nursing qualifications in 1944 and went to Liberia, West Africa as a missionary for 12 years. When she returned, she worked at Edmonton General Hospital for 2 years, then worked at Creston Valley Hospital for 17 years.
Emma was a member of Erickson Covenant Church.
She is predeceased by her parents Chris and Bertha Weme; brothers Ted and Palmer; and brothers Tommy and Willie.
She is survived by her husband and lifelong partner Francis Edey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held August 24, 2015 at Erickson Covenant Church, with Tom Greentree officiating.
