Ellen Marie Moore (nee Lodermeier)
July 1953 ~ March 2016
Ellen passed away in the early hours of Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, BC with family by her side, at the age of 62 years.
Ellen lived for many years at Balfour, BC where she enjoyed, along with her partner Ron, a fun-filled full life with lots of friends, fun and laughter. Not a day would go by without friends dropping in for a coffee or a happy hour at anytime. Ellen always had a snack or bite to eat to go along with the good time. She cooked, she laughed, she enjoyed, she loved every minute of it. In the summer Ellen always had gardens on the go, which she enjoyed so much. She canned, preserved and baked. Cooking was not only her passion, this was her lifestyle. Ellen loved so many, helped so many, worked so hard, she loved life. Ellen will be remembered for her hearty laugh, rosy cheeks, sense of humour and strong will.
Ellen was predeceased by her parents Aloys and Elorna Lodermeier, her partner Ron Lindberg and her other faithful fur friend, Brandy.
Ellen is survived by her brother Gerald (Marlene) Lodermeier, nieces and nephews Jeremy (Brianne) Hoggan, Rochelle (Foster) Harris, Silvio (Amanda) Lodermeier, Tyson Lodermeier as well as great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her faithful companions Taffy and Bear who were always by her side.
Many thanks and appreciation to all those who supported Ellen through this difficult time; doctors, nurses and medical staff of Kootenay Lake Hospital, and the many, many friends who phoned or dropped in to show their support and concern while Ellen was at home.
Ellen fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
At Ellen’s request there will be no funeral;
however we will hold a Memorial Service in her honour in the near future. Let the river flow.
