Elizabeth Henderson Wallace (nee Bell)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Henderson Wallace (nee Bell) on April 30, 2017.

Betty was born on December 1, 1920 the first of five children to Archibald and Williamina Bell in Red Deer, Alberta. In 1946, she graduated as a registered nurse from Edmonton General Hospital. While nursing in Lacombe, Alberta she met and married Lloyd G. Wallace and had three children. They lived and worked in Grand Prairie and Edmonton. In 1988 they retired to Creston, B.C.

Betty in her youth was an avid basketball player. She enjoyed curling while living in Lacombe and kept busy with knitting many a toque and her special slippers. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage.


Betty was predeceased by her infant son David and her husband Lloyd.

She is survived by her son Graham (Brenda) Wallace of Dawson Creek, B.C.; her daughter Shauna (Dan) Quigley of Kaslo, B.C.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


A sincere thank you to Dr. Griffioen, the wonderful nurses and staff of Crest View Care Village and to her good friends Ann, Colin, and Mary Lou.

There will be no funeral by request. Interment will be in Lacombe, Alberta.
