Edward Henry (Ed) Richter
September 13, 1934 ~ January 13, 2013
On January 13, 2013 Ed Richter passed away at home with family by his side at the age of 78 years.
Ed was born to parents Marie and Christian Richter in Rosthern, Saskatchewan on September 13, 1934. Ed was educated in Creston, BC and on October 3, 1953 he married Betty, the love of his life, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
Ed worked for 47 years as an auto body repairman. He enjoyed his time at his Kootenay Lake home fishing, repairing, building and most of all, having friends and family around.
He was predeceased by his father Christian; mother Mary; father-in-law Benjamin; mother-in-law Hazel and numerous brothers-in-law.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Betty; daughters Peggy (Gene) and Penny; son Bruce (Nina); his special angels – the grandchildren Kristie, Cory, Lindsay, Dalan, Kayla, Jayme and great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Dylan, Rae-Lee, Ryland, Kadis and Javen.
A private Family Memorial will take place at a later date.
