Edward (Ed) R. Domke

Edward (Ed) R. Domke, a resident of Lister, BC died at the Creston Valley Hospital on February 8th, 2012 at the age of 81 years.
Ed was born to Wilhelmina and Adolf Domke on August 15th, 1930 at Camp Lister, BC. He married Elizabeth Millner on May 28th, 1955 in Lister, BC, where the couple farmed and raised their family. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and an avid fisherman and gardener.
Ed was predeceased by his parents Wilhelmina and Adolf Domke, brother Daniel and sisters Clara, Mary and Eva. Ed will be sadly missed by his wife Elizabeth of 56 years, children Brian (Sharie), Lorraine (Gerry) Wiest, Dorothy Roth (John Reed), Maureen (Ted) Yerbury, Daniel (Marie) and Sheila Sweet (Bob MacLean); sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister Martha Willard, brothers Theodore (Margaret) and Eric (June).
The Memorial Service was held on Monday February 13th, 2012 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating. Interment of ashes followed in the Lister Anglican All Saints Cemetery, Lister, BC. Tolling of the Bell by grandchildren.
