Douglas Austen

Douglas Austen passed away suddenly in Creston, BC on Friday, July 8, 2011.
Doug made Creston his home over 20 years ago. He fell in love with Creston for its rich agricultural nature and the fact that it was surrounded by the mountains that he so loved to hike, fish and ski in. He will best be remembered for his love of sports - especially basketball and skiing. He was also known for his soft manner and caring ways.
Doug will be sadly missed by his sons Thomas, John David and Michael along with extended family in British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. He will also be missed greatly by Darcy whom was in his care.
Heartfelt thanks and the deepest of gratitude are extended to all Doug’s friends that tried to help him during his difficult times over the years. Your love for Doug was felt when his boys and some of his family were in Creston last week.
Cremation has taken place.
