It is with great sadness that the family of Donovan Michael Gigliotti announces his passing on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 at the age of 55.
One of the "7 D's", Donovan was born in Fernie, BC to parents Joseph and Murdena Gigliotti. His childhood and teenage years were spent in the Gigliotti family home on 4th Ave. where he enjoyed being a part of the close-knit community. As a young adult Donovan began to have a family of his own and moved to Creston, BC where he became well known and respected as the manager for Overwaitea. In 2014, Donovan's life came full circle as he found himself returning to his beloved birthplace, welcomed home by his family and many friends.
Donovan was a loving and caring soul who could light up anyone's day with his precious smile and contagious laughter. He will be forever loved and missed by those who shared in his life.
Donovan will be lovingly remembered by his children: Justin, Jenna, Joseph, Jayden, and Jordan; his precious grandchildren: Jaylin, Aubrey, Jaxson and Maddex; his mother Murdena; his siblings: Danny (Esther), Darren (Bonnie), Donita (Bryan), Delayne (Rocky), Dena, and Dean (Deidra) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wonderful father, Joseph Gigliotti.
A Memorial Service was held at Cherished Memories "Serenity Chapel" on Saturday, July 11th with Father David John of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Celebrant. Interment will follow in a family plot at St. Margaret's Cemetery.
