Donna Eileen Pitchko

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Eileen Pitchko of Creston BC at the age of 56. Donna passed away
on June 1, 2010 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary AB with her family by her side.
Donna was born on April 20, 1954 in Claresholm AB to parents Michael and Eileen Kapty. After growing up on the Prairies, Donna later moved to Creston BC where she worked many years as a LPN at the Creston Valley Hospital.
Donna had a passion for life and was rarely without a smile on her face. She cherished her family and loved to make her grandchildren giggle. Her love of horses started at a young age and continued throughout her life. While spare time was rare, she always had a sewing project on the go and a hand to offer to those who needed it.
Donna is survived by her daughters Jessica (Brandon) Wright and Jolene (Jarred) Anderson; her partner Lyn Kistner; grandchildren Kiera, Lauryn, Gavin, Katelynn, Taylor, Matty and Frankie; her mother Eileen Kapty; sisters Linda (Bill) Comeau and Barbara (Daryl) Leinweber; Lyn’s children BJ (Darryl) Fedorowich and Carl Kistner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, horses, cats and dogs.
She is predeceased by her father Michael Kapty.
Donna’s kindness and generosity touched the hearts of many. Her compassion reached much farther than her patients and into the community. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
A Celebration of Life was held on Monday June 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Creston BC with Pastor Harry Haberstock and Pastor Carl Sawler officiating.
