Donald Roland “Oggie” Ogloff


February 3, 1957 ~ June 23, 2012


Mr. Donald Roland “Oggie” Ogloff of Red Deer passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 55 years.

Don was born February 3, 1957 in Drumheller, Alberta and was raised in Creston, British Columbia. He later graduated from Prince Charles Secondary School in Creston, British Columbia. Don then moved to Brooks, Alberta where he worked at Gold Metal Seeds. In the early 1980's, he moved to Red Deer, Alberta. This is where Don drove taxi cab for over 30 years.

Don was predeceased by his brother Albin Lundquist; his grandparents John and Elizabeth Ogloff, and uncle Johnny and aunt Tina.

Don is survived by his mother Mary Ogloff; two brothers, Roland Lundquist (Janet) and their children Nicole, Dawn and Jordan of Red Deer, Alberta, Danny Lundquist and his children Brad and Shawna (Shaun) of Red Deer, Alberta; one sister Liz Lundquist of Red Deer, Alberta; two uncles Alec Ogloff of Calgary, Alberta and Peter Ogloff of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Don will be sadly missed by his most loyal companion, his dog; Sabaka, as well as by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Through the HOPE Program, the family is pleased that Donald was able to donate many of his organs. At minimum, five people will benefit from Don's gift.


A Celebration of Don's Life was held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street, Taylor Drive), Red Deer, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
