David was born in Fort St. John, BC and spent his youth in the Kootenays. He worked in the logging industry and at 16 years old he was the youngest logging truck driver in BC. In 1959 he married the love of his life Trudy (Violet) in Creston, BC. In Creston, David started his own logging business. He relocated to Kamloops in 1964 to start a new career in the trucking industry. David proudly sold many trucks, which worked BC's highways, forests and mines (1968-1995).

Due to a very serious car accident in 1968, his health started to fail but he persevered and kept selling his beloved trucks. In 1995, David retired and focused on his passion for country western music. His guitar was his second love! David volunteered for many years in all of the local senior centres and retirement homes. He loved singing his favorite songs of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Hank Snow.

A Celebration of Life for David was held Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hoo-Doos Restaurant, Kamloops, BC.
