It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Darlene Lenning Ermter, announce her passing on April 21, 2020 at the age of 70.
Dar is survived by her soulmate and loving husband Jack; her sisters Ann (Willie) and Brith; her brothers-in law and sisters-in law; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and her stepchildren Keith (Grace), Karen (Kern) and Kenny (Deborah); 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; along with many friends and neighbours.
Dar was predeceased by her parents Johan and Kaia Lenning, her sisters Eleanor, Mary and Greta as well as her brothers Johnny and Ralph.
Dar's life focused around her inner circle of family and friends. She was a loving wife, surrogate mom to whoever needed some mom love, sister, mentor and friend to all who knew her.
Dar was happiest with Jack by her side, sitting in the sun with a glass of wine in her hand visiting with the people she loved.
Dar was very proud of her Norwegian heritage always inserting Norwegian words in every day conversation.
Dar will be missed for her hugs, her smile and her big heart. Our hearts are breaking with her loss.
Thank you to the staff at the Foothills Hospital for the care Dar received in her last days.
At Dar's request, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
