On January 26th Dan Paul Lanoville of Lister B.C. passed away at the age of 71 years, peacefully and surrounded by his friends and children.
Dan Lanoville was born May 2, 1949 in Creston B.C. to Art and Adrienne Lanoville.
Growing Up on the farm in Lister, always helping with all the chores, Dad attended the Lister Elementary School, then went to welding school in Kelowna B.C. After welding school Dad went on to perfect his craft in many places including Burnaby B.C., Esquimalt B.C., Salmo B.C. and the Crowsnest pass. We settled down in Elkford B.C. Dad worked for Transwest until retirement, Dad and his youngest Daughter Denelle, then moved to Lister B.C. Raising our little sister was the Joy of his life, then welcoming grandchildren.
Along with Dad's Famous smile, he always provided guidance, taught us strong morals that have been instilled. Dad was known for his welding and Expert Fabrication Fitting skills. Before and after retirement Dad became a goldsmith and a machinist.
Survived by: Son, Benjamin Lanovile. Daughters, Sarina Lanoville (Al Swinehart), Grandchildren, Emma and Samuel Swinehart. Denelle Lanoville (Lynden Durning). Grandchildren, Kalia and Kane Durning. Brother - Rick Lanoville (Janet). Niece and Nephew, Christina and Derrik.
Best Friend - Uncle Garth, who was in our lives since day one. Love you.
Predeceased by loving Parents and Brother Art and Adrienne Lanoville, Uncle Garry Lanoville.
Leaving behind many great Friends, Dad was the smartest man we all knew. Thankful for our Dad.
