Bruce F. Parke passed away from natural causes on November 24, 2017 in Creston, BC at the age of 94 years.

Bruce was born in Islay, Alberta on October 17, 1923, and grew up on the family farm. He married Marjorie Klinkner on July 24, 1947 and in 1955 they moved to High Prairie, Alberta to start their own homestead.

Bruce was a man of many talents and trades. He was a farmer, trucker, operated a sawmill and a horseman to name just a few. They moved to Creston in 1973 where Bruce started a house-moving business, a back-hoe business and a wrecking yard. Bruce has always served the Lord and actively participated in church activities and membership at the Valley View Baptist Church.

Bruce moved to Swan Valley Lodge in 2016, where he lived until his passing.

Bruce is predeceased by his wife Marjorie who passed in 2012; his parents Fred and Martha Parke; sister Wanda Larson; brothers George, Gordon, Forbes, Leonard, and Jack.

He is survived by his six children: Phyllis (Tom) Fischer of Grand Prairie, AB, Bob (Violet) Parke of Pinehouse Lake, SK, Karen (Tom) Whitford of Creston, BC, Marty (Mardy) Beam of Airdrie, AB, Michael Parke of Cranbrook, BC, and Scott Parke of Vancouver, BC; his sister Babs Faucet of Nanaimo, BC; brother-in-law Kevin (Elaine) Klinkner of Coldstream, BC and sister-in-law Betty (Ed) Andruchow of Bruderheim, AB.

A service was held in Bruce's honour on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Creston Baptist Church, 2431 Ash Street, Creston, BC.
