Brandon Ryter

May 16, 2010

It is with great sadness and tremendous loss the family announces the passing of our dear Brandon at the age of 23 years.

He was our sunshine and our social butterfly. The ability he had to gather people together showed his empathy for others. His laugh and his humour was infectious. He loved extreme sports especially when he was younger - 'mountain biking' and even building of his own bike park out of scrap wood. His creative genius in whatever he applied himself to was remarkable.

He was a perfectionist and this was shown in his love for music, his wake boarding, wake skating, truck driving, or whatever he did. He was a true individual and didn't care about outward appearances. He had his own style...even down to his pink shorts and closet full of runners. His drums were his pride. He was known for his distinctive walk. You could say he walked in his 'Dad's Footsteps.' Guys at work would stop, just to watch him walk away, referring to him as 'Mini me' , ' Little E.' and 'Bird Boy.' Vanessa was the Love of his Life, they were school sweethearts and were married for three years. They had fun together, and travelled together, going to Mexico and Hawaii. They shared their skills in working together in making their home their own. Brandon was not a horseman and Vanessa can attest to that. He loved his dog and his cat. The love and concern he had for his mother was heartwarming. To his sister Heidi he was her 'HoneyBunches of Oats.' and her 'FluverLees'. Her being ten years older, he prepared her for her four boys in her married life. Brandon loved to spend time with his brothers, even their fights and making up, just minutes later. They laughed over...anything...something...and nothing. He was a loyal friend to those he met. Brandon's nephews and neice were his heart. He shared his knowledge of sports with them. He was known to them as thier soccer buddy. Brandon even made up a secret handshake for each one of them.

Brandon leaves behind his loving wife Vanessa, parents: Edgar and Carol, brothers: Garrett and wife Sarah, Gavin and wife Jackie, sister Heidi and husband Terry, and nephews Hayden, Ethan , Levi, Kale, Jaxon and neice Hailey. Vanessa's father: Barry, mother: Beth, brothers: Barry Junior, and Joel.

You can see why we all love him and will miss him.
