Alfred L. (Al) Meunier

January 16, 1931 ~ December 29, 2010

Alfred L. ( Al ) Meunier passed away peacefully at the Creston Valley Hospital on December 29, 2010 at the age of 79 years.

Al was born to Marie and Henry Meunier at Gadsby, Alberta on January 16, 1931.

Al married Bernice Engerdahl on October 22, 1955 at Cold Lake, Alberta. He farmed around Minburn and Vegreville, Alberta for 39 years and spent numerous winters surveying in northern Alberta and British Columbia. Bernice and Al retired to Creston in 1996 and he continued to enjoy fishing and hunting. He loved to play the piano and violin with his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Marie and Henry Meunier.

Al will be dearly missed by his loving wife Bernice of 55 years, five children Sharon (Gordon) Bruce of Barrhead Ab; Kathy (Brian) Baltis of Courtenay, BC; Kerry (Linda) of Whitecourt, Ab; Dwight (Linda) of Lloydminster, AB; Joann (Moh) of Calgary, AB., eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother Gordon (Darlene) of Mannville.

Cremation to take place with a Celebration Of Life Service to be held at a later date. Notices will be posted and can be viewed at gfofuneral@shaw.ca
