Agnes Viklund passed away in Creston, B.C. on May 2, 2018 at the age of 94 years. 

Agnes was born on October 18, 1923 in Steinbach, Manitoba. She was raised north of Love, Saskatchewan. Agnes met her husband Albin there and they were married in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in November 1942. They lived in various places in northern Saskatchewan with short stays in British Columbia. They had five children; four are still surviving.

Agnes spent many years working for the CN railway as a cook. She and her husband farmed and operated a mink ranch in northern Saskatchewan. They also managed The Fish Shop in Prince Albert National Park.

Agnes was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved quilting, knitting, sewing, gardening, and fishing.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Albin Viklund in 2000, an infant daughter in 1950, and her brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving sibling.

Agnes is survived by her children Eric (Marie) Viklund, Andy (Jeanne) Viklund, Gloria (Vern) MacDonald, and June (Gib) Johnston; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Service will be held at the Creston Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Tom Miller Officiating. Date and time to be announced.
