Women empowering women

What a unique thought; to go to a place where judgment does not exist, allowing ourselves to embrace our power, boost our courage, and be confident.

Just in time for International Women’s Day, Manger Changes Equine Centre located in the Creston Valley is running a 4 week Women Empowering Women equine program (no prior horse experience is required) that focuses on self-improvement and self-confidence.

Using a problem-solving approach, this guided program offers experiential learning, using (on the ground) work with horses as our teachers. During the exercises, participants gain an understanding of themselves as they build relationships with others. The power in that process has an amazing impact on how we feel, think and relate to others. Each session has a new objective, obstacles are set up and the participants with their team have to maneuver the horse through them using creative thinking and teamwork. Facilitators encourage creative thinking to reach the goals of the various exercises to allow the individual participant to personalize their experience.

Manger Changes offers Equine Assisted Facilitated Programs that are in keeping with the Equine Assisted Building Block ™ curriculum program set by Tamara MacKinnon; the programs are recognized through Mount Royal University, Calgary School Divisions, and Alberta First Nations and accredited through Equine Connection – The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning INC.”

“Horses are incapable of judgment and naturally set boundaries, which makes them very effective teachers for us. What a unique thought to go to a place where judgment does not exist, allowing ourselves to embrace our power, boost our courage, be confident, and most of all build onto the wonderful women that we are!” Said Tracy Anton Program Director, Facilitator, Owner of Manger Changes Equine Centre.

The Women Empowering Women program starts on March 7, 2018.and runs from 6 pm to 8 pm weekly until March 28, 2018, at Creston Flats Stables. For more information or to register for this program, you can visit www.mangerchanges.com or call (250) 428-6781.
