In a week that included a 200-plant grow-op bust, Creston RCMP responded to 61 calls for service from April 8-14, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Monday.

April 8

•A male who was causing a disturbance at an Erickson Road residence was gone when police arrived.

•Police served a subpoena to a Lakeview-Arrow Creek Road resident on behalf of Turner Valley, Alta., RCMP.

•A male stopped on Highway 91 was issued a ticket for not having a driver’s licence.

•Police assisted emergency medical personnel with a female in distress on Highway 3 near Kootenay Pass.

•A well-being check at a Birch Street residence indicated all was well.

April 9

•Three people were taken to hospital after a stunting driver rolled a vehicle in a field near Kootenay River Road. The investigation continues.

•Both parties were spoken to after a power pole signage battle between Internet providers in Wynndel was reported.

•An eastbound passenger on Highway 3 was reported to be littering from the vehicle.

April 10

•Threatening emails between family members were reported from a residence on Goat Mountain Forest Service Road.

•A vehicle sustained minor damage in a collision with a deer near the junction of Highways 3 and 3A.

•A male youth from 18th Avenue South faces charges for breaching his probation.

•A van that was stolen from Creston was located in the Lower Mainland, containing a small bag of jewelry that was not the owner’s. Anyone who had jewelry stolen recently can claim it by providing identifying information at the police station.

•A summer residence on Wadds Road in Crawford bay was broken into. Thieves made off with antique camera, binoculars and a collection of old lighters.

•A well-being check on a 10th Avenue resident revealed no problems.

•Police assisted BC Ambulance Service personnel with a Ninth Avenue South male who was injured in his home.

April 11

•The owner of an Alberta vehicle that passed stopped school buses at Adam Robertson Elementary School will be sent a warning letter.

•Police assisted a subpoena to a Twin Bays Road resident on behalf of Calgary Police Service.

•A Dewalt drill was found in bushes near Murdoch Street. The owner can claim it at the police station.

•Patrolling police officers arrested an intoxicated male on Canyon Street. He was held in cells until sober.

•Two males found sitting in grass near Canyon Street had a small quantity of cocaine seized for destruction. They were 63 and 22 years of age.

April 12

•A semi backed into a ditch on Glenlily Road in Kingsgate.

•A female complained about raffle ticket sellers at a local grocery store because they were “suspicious looking.”

•Police served a summons to an Oliver Road resident on behalf of Vernon RCMP.

•A complaint was received about an erratic driver on Highway 21 but the complainant would not agree to appear in court if a charge was laid.

•An erratic driver on 18th Avenue South was sent a warning letter.

April 13

•A vehicle went off Highway 3A near Wynndel in slush road conditions. No injuries were reported.

•A wallet found on Canyon Street has been returned to its very grateful owner.

•A neighbours’ dispute on Macleod Street in Kitchener ensued after a window was shot with a pellet gun.

•A mountain bike was reported stolen by a Northwest Boulevard resident.

•A 73-year-old male died of natural causes in his home on 32nd Avenue South.

•Two intoxicated males were arrested on Canyon Street after one was reported to be jumping out in front of vehicles. Both 24, they were held in police cells until sober.

•Police were called to a Highway 3 address, where a male and female, both of whom had been drinking alcohol, were involved in a dispute.
