Creston RCMP have announced that Jason Neil Beaudry, a convicted violent and sexual offender, has been released from prison and taken up residence in Yahk.

Beaudry was released from a provincial correctional institution last Thursday, Staff. Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Monday.

Gollan said that Beaudry has also been known to use weapons and that his past victims have included adult females and males.

“Beaudry is subject to court-ordered conditions, including ‘Not to be outside of his residence under the influence of drugs and alcohol,’ ” Gollan said. “If you observe Mr. Beaudry in violation of the above-noted conditions, please do not approach him. Immediately contact the Creston RCMP at 250-428-9313.”

The information regarding Beaudry’s release is considered a public information notification. It is made under the Canada Privacy Act and was issued in the interest of public safety.
