Police advise residents to lock car doors

In all, Creston RCMP responded to 65 calls for service from March 7-13.

A flurry of entries by persons unknown into unlocked vehicles has once again led the RCMP to wonder why residents don’t lock their vehicles.

“It seems like such a simple thing to do,” Sgt. Dave Nassichuk said on Tuesday. He said police received two complaints each from the 1100 block of Scott Street and the 600 block of Devon Street, one from the 900 block of Murdock Street and another from 12th Avenue North.

Small items were reported stolen in some cases.
