March 8

•An Idaho male blew a “warn” on an alcohol screening device at the Kingsgate border crossing and was issued a three-day driving prohibition. He arranged for a friend to pick him up and return him and his vehicle to the U.S.

•Police were called to a family dispute in the 1600 block of Canyon Street.

March 9

•Some groceries and wine were stolen from the back of a pickup in the rec centre parking lot.

•Police received a report from Cochrane RCMP about a single vehicle accident that happened on Feb. 21 in the 1400 block of Cook Street.

•A resident of Crusher Road reported recent dog attacks on another dog.

•A purse containing a cellphone and identification cards was stolen at the rec centre.

•A male was informed he was not welcome on a Davis Road property.

•Minor injuries resulted in a collision between a 2006 Chevrolet Ultra and a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII in the 1000 block of Canyon Street.

•A female was banned from a business for a year after being caught shoplifting in the 1000 block of Northwest Boulevard.

•A male was arrested after uttering threats in the 4600 block of Canyon-Lister Road. He was released with a court date pending and a no contact order.

•A rock from a crane truck bounced up and smashed the windshield of a following vehicle on Highway 21 near Mallory Road.

•A male shoplifter in the 1000 block of Northwest Boulevard will face charges.

March 10

•A semi went into the ditch when the driver attempted to turn from Lower Wynndel Road onto a side road.

•Police were called to a dispute between mother and son in an Elm Street residence.

•Police were called to a couple’s dispute on Johnson Road.

•A driver reported nearly being hit head-on by an oncoming logging truck on Highway 3.

•A damaged 1999 Pontiac Sunfire was reported abandoned on Highway 3A near Destiny Bay. The owner reported he was making arrangements to have the vehicle towed.

March 11

•A theft from a residence on Bodor Road was reported.

•A female reported she was bit on the leg by a dog in the 1000 block of Northwest Boulevard. The dog was on its owner’s leash but police were unable to locate it.

•Snowmobiles were reported driving around the Kokanee Springs Golf Course.

•A male was arrested on Ninth Avenue South for breaching his probation conditions. He faces an April court date.

March 12

•A red Chevrolet Lumina was reported doing donuts in the 2500 block of Elm Street.

•When police were called to a residence in the 2600 block of Highway 3 they arrested a female for breach of probation after she was found to have uttered threats.

•A female sustained minor injuries after losing control of her vehicle on an icy road at Highway 3 and West Creston Road.

•Possible drug activity at a residence in the Eighth Avenue and Dugan Street area was reported.

•A theft by a male and female was reported at a business on Canyon Street and 20th Avenue.

March 13

•When police were called to a domestic dispute on 20th Avenue neither party would co-operate with the investigation.

•When police investigated a report of suspicious activity at Northwest Boulevard and Vancouver Street they found young members of a video group making a video.

•A female was reported to have taken a vehicle without the owner’s consent. The vehicle was returned a short time later and no further action was required.

•A domestic argument was reported on 11th Avenue South.

March 14

•A glass door was smashed by a rock at a business in the 1000 block of Canyon Street. No entrance to the premises was made.

•The door to a Pine Street business was broken but entry was gained.

•A female reported to be driving without a licence in the 1400 block of Cook Street was located and charged with driving without a licence and having open liquor in a vehicle.

•Mailboxes were knocked over at 40th Street and Canyon-Lister Road for the third consecutive week.

•Possible drug activity was reported on 11th Avenue North.

•An unwanted male visitor was reported at a Dogwood Street residence.
