LETTER: No boat, no bass

I was sure this was the night I was going to catch the big one.

Last Tuesday (April 30th) was a perfect evening to go bass fishing at Duck Lake. My partner and I had our boat nicely secured at the Sidar launching site, permits in order, boat chained to a tree ready for a great night fishing.

Surprise!! When we arrived at the launch site, we found our boat was gone. Someone had partially cut and then broke the tree that our boat was chained to. The chain was slid off the fracture stump.

I’m calling on on every to keep a lookout for a 10 foot olive coloured flatbottomed boat. It had the name Alumacraft in white letter in the sides. If you spot it, please contact the RCMP.

I was sure this was the night I was going to catch the big one. Darn!
