The Town of Creston has a new way to commemorate the contributions of citizens and organizations. New tree grates allow for a name to be placed in each quadrant, creating a lasting tribute.

Last week, town council members Joanna Wilson, Wesly Graham, Ron Toyota, Tanya Ducharme and Judy Gadicke unveiled the first plaques in the Spirit of Creston Square. Former mayor Lela Irvine and councillor Lawrence Lavender were selected for their contributions to the town.

Contact Town Hall for more information about how private citizens, businesses and organizations can purchase plaques to be placed around trees in the downtown area.
