On Sept. 10, artist Layla Folkmann was well into her fourth day of work on one of four murals on the 11th Avenue side of Pharmasave.
Folkmann spent part of the summer picking fruit in the valley, then stuck around to create two murals when her proposals were accepted. She completed the first on Tuesday.
The other two murals will be painted by Nadine Riehl, replacing the 1987 mural that was removed earlier this year because the concrete supporting it was crumbling. Riehl also has murals on the east side of the Creston Hotel and on the Canyon-Lister Fire Department hall.
