Jason Beaudry is once again behind bars. The prolific offender was arrested in Kelowna last week, within days of his release from jail, Creston RCMP Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said yesterday.
Ironically, his arrest was made on a warrant obtained because he did not come back to Creston as he had planned. When Beaudry missed a scheduled probation appointment in Creston, Kelowna RCMP were able to act quickly.
“They knew where he was,” Gollan said. “Earlier he had been found with a small amount of cocaine but his probation conditions weren’t up in the computer system yet, so the cocaine was seized and no charges were laid.”
Beaudry who has a lengthy criminal history, is being held in remand in Kelowna pending a court appearance.
