The Kimberley RCMP detachment have confirmed that a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, Dec. 22 on Highway 95A just outside of Kimberley, B.C. near the Wycliffe Four Corners, has resulted in the death of a 64-year-old man, believed to be a resident of Meadowbrook.
According to RCMP, a northbound pickup truck lost control and struck a southbound car, resulting in the death of the driver.
The RCMP believe road conditions were a factor, and said they were "extremely icy" at the time of the collision. They added at drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this collision, nor do they believe any criminality was involved.
The family is receiving support through Victim Services.
