Police received 47 calls for assistance from November 27 to December 3 Staff Sgt. Ryan Currie said on Tuesday afternoon.

November 27

• Police were called to intervene in an intoxicated neighbour dispute. Both intoxicated parties were separated to keep the peace.

• Police were called to investigate an ex-partner who made a false claim to the Canada Revenue Service costing the spouse a large amount of money.

November 28

• Police were called to assist Crawford Bay School with a report of mischief.

• Police began an investigation into unsafe storage of firearms in Wynndel.

November 29

• Police were called to a report of an injured deer on Highway 3A. The call was referred to BC Conservation Officer.

• Police responded to a report of a domestic assault situation in which the aggressor was reportedly struck by a vehicle after the altercation. Police spent a considerable amount of time attempting to assist the intoxicated participants, but all were uncooperative.

November 30

• Police responded to a report of threats made over the phone by a neighbour regarding an on-going dispute.

• Police attended a family dispute to assist with fighting youth siblings.

• Police responded to a report of an unprovoked assault between acquaintances.

• Police intervened in a family dispute involving a grandson and grandmother.

• Police responded to a report of an impaired driver leaving a business in Creston. The driver not found by police.

December 1

• A drinking driver leaving a business in Creston received a 90 day licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 30 days.

• Police were called to investigate a theft in which a blank cheque was forged and cashed.

December 2

• Police were called to assist with a disturbance in Kitchener possibly related to a family dispute.

December 3

• Police were called to the Creston Hospital to assist with an aggressive patient.

• Police were called to assist with a possible fraud over stolen cashed cheques. Upon investigation, the complainant was suffering from health issues and no fraud occurred.

• Police were called regarding parking issues in Kitchener. Referred to RDCK Bylaw.

• A report of a possible robbery with threats of violence turned out to be a dispute between youth regarding the perception of money owed. The complainant was warned about making false reports to the police.
