The Green Party federal leader Elizabeth May will be in Nelson on April 20.

The Green Party is bringing some star power to Nelson.

Federal party leader Elizabeth May is set to visit this month to support B.C. Green Party candidate Kim Charlesworth. May will follow provincial leader Andrew Weaver, who was in town last week to promote Charlesworth and unveil the Greens' agricultural platform.

May will deliver a speech at a fundraiser April 20, which will be held 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nelson Rod and Gun Club.

Earlier in the day she'll be in Creston for a speech and a Q&A, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Creston Community Complex.
