In a sold-out concert, Elena Yeung performed at the Snoring Sasquatch on Saturday night to release her latest CD, Dandelion, a followup to 2008’s The Gravedigger’s Daughter.

This was one of the final performances on the Lister bluegrass artist’s CD release tour, in which she was backed by the Kootenay Special — Karl Sommerfeld (fiddle and vocals), Steve Jones (bass) and Keith Larson (guitar, vocals).

She closed the show with an a capella version of Gonna Build Me A Boat, a gospel-inspired song that, on the CD, features backup from the New York-based Persuasions.
