Creston RCMP Report: Shoplifter caught on camera

The RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the man

A man was recently caught on camera shoplifting from a local business. The Creston RCMP is requesting assistance in identifying the man. If you can identify the person in the photo, please contact the RCMP at 250-428-9313 and refer to police file 23-1270.

Here are the highlights of calls to the police from May 20 to 28:

May 20

• Officers located a dirt bike and would like to return it to the owner. If you own this motorcycle, please contact the Creston RCMP with details to confirm your ownership.

May 21

• Officers located a speeding vehicle late in the evening. The driver was showing signs of impairment. A roadside screening test was conducted and the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was charged.

May 23

• Officers were called about a man threatening people at a local business. The man was arrested on a charge of uttering threats contrary to the Criminal Code. During his Bail Hearing, Police and Crown Counsel requested the man be held in custody, but he was released by the courts on conditions.

May 26

• An officer located a vehicle that was not complying with traffic laws. The officer conducted a traffic stop and noted the driver showed signs of impairment. The officer performed roadside tests and found the driver to impaired by alcohol. The driver was charged and the vehicle was impounded.
