Two men arrested last week in a March 20 home invasion suspected to be linked to a drug dispute remain in custody as Creston RCMP continue their investigation.
“Last Wednesday, police were called to a residence on Seventh Avenue where a home invasion was reported to be taking place,” Cpl. Charlotte Joa said this morning. “Two men were arrested in the residence.”
The men, later determined to be in breach of probation orders, are being held pending a court appearance.
A firearm was discharged when the men were attempting to gain entry to the residence. One suspect is believed to have shot a lock to open an exterior door.
