Creston RCMP responded to 50 calls for service from Jan. 23-29, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Jan. 30.

•A female who was caught shoplifting in a store in the 1000 block of Northwest Boulevard has been banned from the premises.
•An unwanted firearm was turned in from a Canyon-Lister Road residence for destruction.
•Police were called about an exchange of threatening text messages between two young females last summer. Mediation apparently has resolved the issue.
•Following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Canyon Bridge, one vehicle fled. It went into a ditch nearby and the driver, smelling of alcohol, refused a roadside breath analysis test. He was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
•Creston RCMP assisted Castlegar police with an apprehension warrant.
