Creston RCMP briefs from Feb. 9

Creston RCMP responded to 53 calls for service from Feb. 6-12, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Feb. 13.

February 9

•When a vehicle was reported to be parked on the road on Gray Creek Pass, RCMP from Creston, Kimberley and Cranbrook got involved, and eventually determined the vehicle belonged to snowmobilers who were staying overnight in a cabin.

•Creston RCMP assisted Surrey city police by serving a warrant on a local male, who was arrested, then released with a court appearance pending.

•Police investigated the whereabouts of an elderly female and her caregiver after conducting a well-being check at an Eighth Avenue residence. They learned she was on holidays and was doing fine.
